About Clover Nutrition Counseling
Let’s connect to see how a registered dietitian nutritionist can help you build a healthier relationship with food
-
A registered dietitian nutritionist (RD or RDN) is a credentialed health professional qualified to perform multiple aspects of nutrition care, including medical nutrition therapy.
-
Our office location is in Vancouver, Washington and you can choose between in-person or telehealth appointments if you live in the Vancouver-Portland area, if you are a resident of Washington or Oregon. We are also able to see clients from Kansas and Vermont to receive nutrition counseling with us via telehealth. Many states require a state license to provide telehealth and/or medical nutrition therapy, though some states do not currently have active licensing for registered dietitians including California, Colorado, Michigan and Virginia. If you are in one of these states and interested in receiving nutrition counseling via telehealth we are here to help. Please be aware that if you live in California, state law requires a referral from your medical provider for medical nutrition therapy, which we can help you obtain.
-
We see adults (18 years and older), for general nutrition counseling or medical nutrition therapy for disease prevention or management. For children we will encourage you to see a registered dietitian who specializes in pediatrics. Also, if you are looking for treatment of an active eating disorder, we will also suggest seeing someone who specializes in this area.
-
Beyond general nutrition and prevention areas, we specialize in weight-inclusive care, nutrition for healthy aging including gerontological nutrition areas like swallowing disorders and malnutrition, chronic conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and plant-based nutrition.
Looking for help with a plant-based diet?
Plant-based diets are a specialized area we can assist you with to meet your nutrition needs, including thoughtfully incorporating plant-based choices alongside other dietary requirements. If you already follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, or are considering a shift toward a more plant-focused way of eating, consulting a dietitian with personal expertise and practical experience in plant-based nutrition can help ensure the counseling you receive aligns with your individual health goals, lifestyle, and values.
About me
Hello!
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist originally from the Central Coast of California and now based in the Pacific Northwest. I hold degrees both in public health and nutrition. My clinical experience informs my whole-person approach to wellness, with advanced training in weight-inclusive care, diabetes management and prevention, cardiovascular health, and kidney disease. As a Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition, I am well-versed in nutritional needs for healthy aging. In addition to providing nutrition counseling and consulting services, I teach college-level nutrition courses to students going into healthcare fields.
I am available for in-person appointments in Vancouver, Washington, as well as telehealth appointments if you are in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Virginia, or Vermont.
Nutrition counseling begins with understanding your goals and needs. I would love to chat and answer any questions you have before working with me. Please reach out if you would like a short call to connect and see if I am a right fit to be part of your care team.
Wishing you health and happiness!
Justine Violet Meyer, MPH, RDN, LD, CD, CSG
Updates coming soon regarding insurance coverage!
For individual nutrition counseling, we will happily provide you with a super bill that you can use to request your insurance to reimburse you. This may require sharing information with your medical provider to obtain your health history and medical diagnoses to meet insurance requirements. While we cannot guarantee what your insurance will ultimately cover and reimburse for, we will try to help in any way we can and provide clear information regarding rendered services for you to submit to your insurance.
